Obama 2.0

As I began researching for my paper I cam across alot of interesting articles and information around the topic of Social Media and political elections, specifically our last presidential election. President Obama had a clear agenda when it came to social media. As aspiring leaders in business we can learn alot about connecting with our customers and implementing social media strategies in order to grow our businesses. As my research continues I will post any interesting points or articles that I come across. Take a look at the following article specifically the sections on "What Obama did succesfully", and "The takewaway for businesses".

  1. I certainly noticed a lot more participation in social medial by Obama than by anyone else in this election or any prior. I feel that Obama utilized social media as part of his campaign strategy but not to its fullest extent. I think he was able to relate to the Net Gen better than his competition.

I am excited for the next election, I think the days have passed of vote xxx signs in people's front yards and call centers set up of volunteers. The presidential candidate who can EMBRACE social media in the next media will most certainly be our next president.

I found this article citing rules that politicians should follow regarding social media.
